Once you have considered the above, you can then ask yourself if a ground floor or the mid-floor unit is suited for you.

For me personally, I would go for ground floor as I prefer a bigger balcony and having the view of the pool. Being on the higher floor, you won't get to enjoy the view of the pool.
There will definitely be some noise from the kid and splash pool at times, but not always. I just sold a ground floor unit which was located in front of the kids pool and it was very rarely noisy.

This will really depend on what matter more to you. Everytime i walk pass a ground floor unit, i can see the whole house including the room very clearly and there don't seem to be any privacy but why are such units are still popular with buyer? The key word will be own preference.
From your question, i can see that you prefer the view of the swimming pool. Kid and splash pool won't be noisy all the time especially at night when they should be at home getting ready to sleep and you will be able to enjoy the environment then.
Looking at the opposite stack, it might face the same issue or the view won't be as good. I can advise more since i don't know what is the development you looking at.
I do come across units where the balcony is just right outside the swimming pool where you can just open the gate of the balcony and jump right into the pool! And the pool is quiet most of the times.
