Dear Ms. Sen,

I would suggest, take out your husband's name from the Private condo. Then both of you can go ahead to buy HDB. You will need to stay in your HDB for 5 yrs, before you can own any private condo.

I believe your in-laws are healthy and they can stay in the condo now. If one day they passed, it might be 5 yrs later, by then it is no problem for your husband to inherit the condo. You won't break the rules this way. Don't think so far, think of current that your husband and you get a HDB. Who knows, 5 yrs time, the rules might change again.
