I have paid $6,500 agency fee to sign a 2-year lease contract. However, just after 2-month, without any prior notice, the co-broke agent of my agent suddenly told me that the tenant has left the apartment for Hongkong relocation. The contract required 2-month prior notice to be given to landlord was not obeyed. Now, my apartment was left vacant without income and I have to market the unit and pay the fee all over again. Please adv what can I do to claim back my loss of agency fee and rental. Thanks.
