I have gotten an OTP for a HDB flat. I am wondering if I should engage a building surveyor to take a look at the unit before I exercise the OTP. If there is any defects , can I ask the seller to fix them before I exercise the OTP?

Any guru has good building surveyor to recommend ? What is the usual charge ?

Good morning,

With the purchase of HDB unit, things does not go the way that you perceive it. There are procedures that will cover the aspect that you are looking at but not done in the same manner. With such misception on the HDB policies, it would be advisable to engage someone to assist you with the necessary.

Hi,

There is no requirement for the Sellers to abide to your request. You offered for the flat based on the existing condition. As long as there is no structural damages, the Seller is not obliged to repair cosmetic damages for you.
