I currently staying in my BTO 3-room flat in yishun with my wife. Moved in last yr June. Currently renting out our common room and contract ends this yr sept. We will be moving out this year Aug for my studies in canada for 2 yrs, and we intend to rent out the whole unit locking the common room only.
what is your advice on this situation?
how early do i need to advertise?
can i rent the whole unit and lock one room?
how much rent i can charge?
provide: fully furnished with aircon & wifi

Evening,

As you have not fulfilled the MOP, such rental is considered as illegal. The legal way is to appeal to HDB and obtain approval to rent out the unit. However, this would result in putting your MOP on hold, during the rental period.
