I bought a 3 br resale condo with tenancy expiring in Dec. As there was some delay in exercising the option due to the seller, now the date of completion falls on the last day of the tenancy. Our lawyer assured us that the contract is still with tenancy. Now the seller and his lawyer insisted that it should be with vacant possession. Anybody had experience with this? How should we resolve this dispute?

Apologies that I do not have an answer but I believe this should be better taken care of by the lawyers and you can probably understand more from your lawyer on hoe does this implicate you as a purchaser in the fdifference between vacant possession or with tenancy.
