I am SC and bought my HDB resale flat 1 year ago with my foreign spouse. We might relocate next year. If we do, it seems like we cannot sell or rent since MOP is not up. What are our options? It seems like a waste to leave the apartment empty.

Hi, you could drop by the HDB branch office of your estate and to appeal.

Give me a call, I've helped a client to appeal, he was going to work in China for 3-5 years. But bear in mind that this appealed period (if granted to you) would not count towards the MOP of 5 years.
