i wish to upgrade my condo by selling first one and then buying new one at double the price
will i get back my ABSD from first one back which was sgd 50000/-
my first condo was of 1 million sgd which i will sell and buy new one at 2million
where i will pay 100000 sgd as absd
but will i get sgd 50000 back
i am married and we do not have any other property in singapore

If your spouse is not a Singapore Citizen, I am afraid you will not get back the ABSD you have paid. There is no remission for such arrangement.

Only if your spouse is a Singapore Citizen and do not own any other properties after the sale of your current property then you can apply for ABSD remission, if existing property is under both your ownership and the purchase property will also be under both your ownership.

If your spouse is a Singaporean, you can choose to pay the ABSD by buying the property first and claim back the ABSD when you sell your current property within a 6 months period.

ABSD already paid will not be eligible for refund in this scenario, as the purchase has passed and you bought as a single.

Are you buying with your Singaporean spouse now? If so, if its joint name purchase with your married Singaporean spouse, you may be eligible for ABSD remission on this property. You will have to sell away your existing condo first.
