Hi,

For good rental yield, it is best to get condos near MRT or town area. Condos like Parc Oasis and Queens, etc command good rental yield.

Condos near to town and MRT are also good rental investment. For example, i know of a 1 bedder unit selling at Amaryllis Ville, near Newton MRT. It is tenanted at 5% yield, asking $990k.

Hi EB,

If you're willing to loan up to 70% only, why not consider commercial property as well. Many property investors are only aware of investing in private residential, but aren't aware of the benefits of buying good commercial property.

I have units that are under $400K, an office space at $250K, possible rental at $1.5K, another unit that has enbloc potential going for $600K. All these commercial properties are freehold.

Loan up to 70% can be obtained from financial institution. Such units fetch reasonable rental, and some tenants rent for long term if they find the location suitable for them, they won't want to leave.

    Hi Yian. Thank you for your response. I'm in Sydney for work over the next few days, however will try and call you once I'm back in Singapore. To be honest I had not considered investing in commercial property, nor am I familiar with nuances/risks of doing so. However, I'd like to learn more about it. Obviously I want to make the best possible investment I can.
