I am currently owning a 5I HDB at tampines. Its currently under MOP. What happens if my PR renewal is rejected ? Can there be an exception made to not surrender the flat to HDB and sell in open market ? Basically, its not by choice that I want to give away/sell my HDB, so can I sell it in market rather than surrender to HDB ? Thanks.

Afternoon,

With such concerns comes with valid worries. What's causing your worries? By clearing your worries and staying in the same status as the time you applied for the PR status, you should have it renewed. Work to solve the problem is better than trying to beat the system.

All the best.
