I am a Singaporean living in Australia with and Australian husband. We want to buy a resale hdb flat to live in for 5 to 7 years so our kids could be biligual educated before moving back to Australia. How do I access my CPF to pay for my hdb? Can i access my CPF as a lump sum (with required minimum amount left) and pay off the rest with cash from the Aus house I sell off? Am i still eligible for the $15k single/foreign spouse hdb grant if i am using cash? Thanks.

Dear Sir/Mdm,

As long as you have an active CPF account, the lawyer doing your conveyance will be able to help you recall the money from CPF.

You are still eligible for the $15k grant as long as all criteria is met.
Pls check out this link for more detail

Do note that you need to sell off all Australian property within 6 months after you buy the HDB.

Hope that I have answered your question.

Feel free to contact me if you need my assistance.

Morning,

As this will be your first residential property in SG, you do not need to set aside the CPF minimum sum on the purchase. Depending on the age of the unit and your age, you can utilize all the CPF OA available within your account. You will not be eligible for the housing grant if you are the co-owner of the property in Australia. Do also note that you will be given only 6 months to sell away your Australia property after key collection of your HDB unit.

Do contact me further for detail discussion.

Hi Sir/Mdm,

You will be able to use your CPF when purchasing a HDB. I have just assisted my client who is a Singaporean but staying and working in Australia to purchase a HDB flat in Ghim Moh.
With my advice, she successfully obtained a bank loan from UOB and also obtained the 15k CPF housing grant.
I am more than happy to assist you in your purchase process. Please feel free to contact me.
