I am a HDB owner and also bought a condo, under joint ownership of a condo with a sibling.
If I were to take over the share of the condo from my sibling, is this consider sell & buy?
Will I be subjected to the current ABSD?

Good day sir / madam .

Yes ABSD is payable , however the ABSD is NOT on the entire amount , but payable on the PART SHARE that is being bought over .

Another possiblity is sell off the hdb To buy the condo without having to pay ABSD .

Or sell the condo .

Kindly contact me joanne chia HP 8333 3327  for a no-obligations chat for your property needs .

My charges are 1% commission for exclusive selling rights ( sole agent ) to your property or 2% for open listing ( many agents ) .

Hi,

The relevant stamp duties applies, as long as there is a change in ownership of the shares in the property involved.

For your case, since the condo is under Joint-Tenancy, ABSD payable would be on the 50% share of the condo. Do take note that you will also need to refund whatever your sibling has paid toward the house using his/her CPF monies.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you and your partner in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
