I am a foreigner and am planning to buy a condo. Would like to know how much stamp duty and registration i have to pay for a property which is around 1.2million? Would it make any difference if i buy it from a builder?

HI Manish,

Generally, foreigners need to pay 13% stamp duty. However, do take note that there are a few nationalities that enjoy 3% stamp duty as Singaporean.

There is no different whether you buy from builder/developer or private owner. You will probably only buy from developer if it is a new launch project, therefore, it will take a few years before it is ready for occupation.
