I am a 1st time owner of a pte condo..bought this brand new unit (no reno done) which has slightly past 1 yr of TOP. During renovation, discovered that water sipped throught the glass wall from outside rain, which I suspected could be through the silicon joints. Without inspection from my mgmt ofc, I was told by my mgmt ofc to get my own window contractor to deal with the problem. Mgmt office will come in only if there is a crack in the window? Is it really true? Mgmt ofc will hands off after the property turns 1 yr old if it's a non-reported problem within that yr? This seems ridiculous to me as the building structure is only warranty for a yr? Will anyone be able to share some information about the general guide and responsibilities of a mgmt office? or where can I get my clarification? Tks!
