How do I help my spouse pay off the remainder of her HDB housing loan using my CPF as we recently got married. Both in 50s. She is currently sole owner of the property (purchased under Singles scheme) and I live with her. Note that I (husband) am NOT listed as either a co - owner or co-occupier. CPF says that as it stands I cannot use my CPF to help her pay as I’m not an owner of the flat. I don’t own any property although I previously owned HDB flats when younger.

Hi Sir,

You will need to be the owner if you wish to utilize your CPF funds towards the flat. Your spouse can approach HDB Branch office to add your name in as a co-owner of her flat.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Hi,

1) You have to be an owner or co-owner in order to utilize your CPF for a property.
2) You may buy over part share from her so as to pay off the loan.
3) You may approach your HDB branch office for this matter, such as how much, what percentage, etc.
4) They will assist in all the calculation so that you can be sure of your spouse will be free from housing loan upon completion of the part sale.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636 , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.
