Hi Daniel,

By being early, does it mean that all necessary visa status have been approved for all occupants? Prospectve landlords will only agree to a deal if you have the necessary visas to stay in Singapore. If these are settled, I'd suggest you to come over 1 to 1.5 months before your official move-in date. Do take note that depending on the length of tenancy you are looking for, you'll need to prepare between 1-2 months upfront security deposit to the landlord to secure the premises and advance rental to be paid to landlord upon moving in, up to 1 month rental as the agent's fees + GST as well as stamp fees for the tenancy agreement. Last but not least, you'll also need to apply to open an account for your utilities (power, water and gas supply) with deposit amount.

Should you need further assistance, feel free to let me know.

Hi Mr Daniel,

As I am a rental specialist, I have just served an American couple with two childrens today. They are getting a 3 bed room at outskirt of the town but near Stamford American School. His budget is 5 to 6k. Therefore, depend on owner whether when is the date of completion of the agreement so that the tenant is able to move in. Normally it take up to a month if the whole unit is rented with all furniture.

Hope to hear from you soon if you were to give me a ring to seek help for your rental. I will be pleased to render my help.
