I have recently assisted my clients, a couple from Denmark who have moved to Singapore to work for 2 years.
They have also managed to ship their full containers of furniture over. It's a good idea to ship them over as they will make you "feel at home". :)
In Singapore, a home on a 2 year lease can be unfurnished, partial furnished or fully furnished depending on your requirements. There is a lot of options in the market right now as there is an oversupply of units for rent so you can rest assured that there are many choices available.
