Hi, We are a PR couple and eligible to buy HDB resale flat in 2018. Planning to buy a 4 room hdb with budget around 430k. Can anyone help to tell me how much funds i need to prepare to buy our first home. Current estimated CPF have 75k. Thanks

Good morning Tein Wai,

Bear in mind that both of you have to SPR for at least 3 years to be eligible to purchase a resale HDB in Singapore.

As both of you are eligible for max 80% bank loan, your 20% downpayment will be as such:

1) 5% cash
2) 15% cash or CPF

followed by:
3) stamp duties (estimated 8% inclusive of 5% as SPR)
4) misc fees like valuation fee, legal fees, resale submission fee and agent's commission.

I just assisted my client to secure a 4rm around $400k plus in the west.
