Hi Eugene,

For new BTO, you need to sell away your overseas residential property, wait out 30 months after selling, before you are eligible to apply. So this option looks out? For resale HDB, if you and your spouse are 55 years and above, you can purchase resale HDB straight away, and sell away your overseas property within 6 months. If you are not 55 yet, you need to wait out 15 months after selling before you can buy,

It has nothing to do with the HDB loan, its specifically so as they are the eligibility conditions to begin with.

30 months wait out period after selling private residential property regardless if the property is local or abroad is applicable for purchase of new HDB flats, if household income and other eligibility criteria are met. If you are looking for a resale HDB, the wait out period is 15 months, unless you are aged 55 or above, then you will be eligible to purchase a resale 4 room HDB or smaller unit.

It doesn't matter whether you are obtaining any home loan for this purchase.
