Hi Rudy,

I began my career as a part-timer. I can empathize with you.

I now lead a team with a mix of part-timers and full-timers. We try to work in teams to help each other out.

The RES course costs $780 at the Real Estate School. The exams costs $249.10. You can get a reimbursed up to $500 as an NTUC member.

I do provide a performance-based incentive for new salespersons joining my team, which offsets your fees a little.

You must be prepared to "burn the candle at both ends" to be successful. I can help you strategize based on your availability, background etc.

At the moment, it is not required to get approval from your employer, unless you are in the Civil Service. You just need to declare your occupation only.

It will take about 3 months to get your qualifications - RES class and exams and results. Thereafter, 4 weeks to get your CEA registration. You can go through some training while you wait.

You could start getting some income in less than 2 months if you work on rentals. This is provided you have leads and prospects.

Give me a call at 9642-2792 or email me at fxnhomes@gmail.com if you have questions.

Good luck!

It takes about 3-5 months in total from enrolling for the RES course to practising as a real estate agent. The learning curve depends on which team you join and the effort you put in... I closed 4 deals in my first month, call me to find out how :)
