Hi.. I'm a divorcee with a 2 year old kid. i'm.. i've no property under my name. can i buy one? i'm 28 yrs old and urgently looking for flat to stay.. my income is less than $2000.i need a whole flat as i need to tranfer my items from my brother's place to the new hse..

Morning Jennifer,

You can purchase resale unit with your child, under open scheme. You will be the owner while your child be the essential occupier.
As to what sized HDB unit and the location which you can purchase would depend on how much CPF and cash you have at hand. With your income status, 2 room or 3 room flat should serve you well.

Hi Jennifer,

With your description, you are likely to be eligible to purchase a resale HDB with you as the owner and your child as the essential occupier. Nevertheless, being eligible does not mean you can manage the loan repayment, therefore it will be the best if you can approach bank to check how much loan are you able to undertake or do HLE accordingly.
