Hi,

You can apply for BTO (when the exercise is launched) or resale HDB any time since there is at least 1 SC in the application, no need to wait. Thanks and may I understand your requirements further so to better value-add to your housing plans? Hope to discuss further.

    Hi,
    I just got a reply from HDB. There is a 10k premium required for new BTO/SFB flats if we are a SC-SPR couple. I'm surprised no agents brought this up. not sure if this apples to resale as well?

    Also any idea if this 10k premium will be in cash or CPF?

    3. You may wish to know that first timer Singapore Citizen/Singapore Permanent Resident (SC/SPR) households have to pay a $10,000 premium when they buy a flat from the HDB. The $10,000 premium is incorporated as part of the selling price of the Build-To-Order (BTO) flat. The withheld subsidy of $10,000 will be restored when the SPR family member in the SC/SPR household takes up citizenship or if the couple has an SC child while still in ownership of that flat. Eligible households can apply to HDB within 6 months of the change in household citizenship status to claim the $10,000 Citizen Top-Up via CPF.
