Hi, If I'm the current owner of a resale flat (bought without grants, bank loan) - I'm a first time buyer, while my husband has already purchased HDB twice using HDB grant, are we eligible to purchase another resale flat, e.g. maisonette? And if so, what would be the downpayment required? Thank you.

Hi Gracie,

You and your husband will be able to buy another resale unit but will not be entitled to any grants.

The downpayment will be dependable on the fact if you re still servicing your current loan.

Evening Gracie,

I would presume that you have purchased your current unit, prior to getting married.
As your husband have purchase HDB unit, with grant, you can purchase another resale flat, claiming the half grant, if you are SC.
To sell away your current unit to purchase EM, should not be an issue, if your fiancial committment allows. As for the downpayment, it would depend on how much CPF you have, how much loan the financial institute can borrow to you and how much is the valuation of the purchased unit.

DO feel free to contact me if you require further assistance.
