I'm sure you have heard from news stating that a certain percentage of buyers for private properties never actually exercise the Option. Your case is one of the reasons why these took place. It's stated clearly that Option monies are not refundable. All buyers should have done their homework by assessing their own loan status before committing. However, you can try to talk to the developer and hope that they might provide you with alternatives. Else, try getting your loan application assessed by other banks. You might get something out of it.
