Dear YT, The easiest way out to find out the value of unit you can afford is to speak to a banker to do an IPA on your loan eligibility to work out the probable value of your purchase. There is no obligations to do IPA but will give you a better safeguard in your househunting process to prevent you from overcommitting. I have gotten my banker contact to get in touch with 1 buyer last night and fortunately, it was done as after working out the sums, it is unlikely that the buyer will be able to afford the purchase intended. For services rendered to HDB buyer, we charge 1% of the purchase price plus GST.
