I just sold my condominium. Can I buy a new HDB flat as I understand Singaporeans are allowed to buy HDB twice
1) Yes, you are still eligible to apply for a BTO.
2) But you will have to have a wait-out period of 2.5 yrs (30 months) before being eligible for a 3-rm and larger flat.
3) If you are 55 or older, you will be eligible for a 2-rm Flexi lease BTO.
4) You may apply now without selling your current private property.
4) You only need to sell it off within 6 months upon collecting keys for your 2-rm Flexi lease BTO.

For new BTO or SOBF purchase direct from HDB you cannot apply at the moment as you need to wait out 30 months after selling your condo before you are eligible to apply. You can purchase resale HDB straight away no issue.

Yes, if you had not utilise both your chances. However, do take note that as you had just sold off your private condo, you will need to wait out a period of 30 months before being able to apply for another BTO flat.
After you had served the wait-out period, you will be classed as a "second timer" applicant for the BTO. Chances of being allotted a flat is very minimal, especially if you are looking at 4RM or 5Rm flats.
In the event that you manage to successfully balloted for a unit, you will have to wait another 4-5 years for it to build. Hence, you will only probably get to move into the new BTO in ard 7-8 years from today.
Lastly, as you're a second timer, you will be liable to pay a resale levy in Cash, upon the BTO flat purchase. The amount of resale levy payable depends on the size of your first flat, and the time you sold it. You can check with HDB on this exact amount.
