Hi, I’m Singapore PR and my boy friend is Singaporean(he's own HDB still under mortgage). Can we buy private condo together using/sharing 2 names? Can we share bank loan(50-50)? Are we entitle to get 80% loan from Bank? And use cpf for other portions?

Morning Tina,

Yes, both of you are eligible for purchase of condo. You can also use both names for the mortgage loan. However, if your boy friend want to use his CPF for the second purchase, he need to set aside the CPF minimum sum before his can use the remaining for second housing. Both of you are only eligible for 60% loan as your boy friend have an existing mortgage loan.
