Hi, I just bought a resale flat in april 2013 from open market using bank loan and now I am proceeding for a divorce, please tell me whether I can keep the flat for 5yrs and then sell it and give back his share or hdb will take back the flat? I really wish I could keep it because we already done the renovation and it will be a waste if hdb take it back at valuation price

Morning,

Firstly, it will take some time before you get the final documents for your divorce, depending on the basis of your case.
Secondly, owners are required to inform HDB about their marital status once their divorce are done.
Lastly, you might need to consult someone on your current standing so as to get a better picture of where you stand.
