Hi,

Proximity Housing Grant is a special grant. If you are eligible and can qualify for it, you are not required to pay a resale levy when you buy the next resale HDB. I have worked on various similar cases before and the above applies.

Dear Sir/Mdm,

For resale flat, you will not need to pay any resale levy, don't worry. Resale levy is only applicable if you purchase a BTO flat or a new Executive Condo.

I have assisted many clients in a similar situation as yourself to transit from one HDB to another. Please feel free to contact me so that I can assist you further. Hi,

You need to pay a resale levy in either of these cases:

1) You dispose of your subsidised flat and then buy a second subsidised flat from HDB

2) You dispose of your subsidised flat and then buy an EC from a developer where the land sale was launched on or after 9 December 2013

You need not pay a resale levy if you are buying any of these:

1) Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS) flat from a developer

2)EC from a developer, where the land sale was launched before 9 December 2013

3) HDB resale flat

4)Private residential property

As for Proximity housing grant, if you have not previously receive such grant, then you will be eligible for it now.
