Hi, I bought a HDB flat with my mother (co-own) under the public scheme.

My girlfried owns a HDB under Singles Scheme.

Can we get married, without putting my name in her house?

Reason; old parents and not financially stable to buy/rent.
Best way forward?

Hi Izzeto,

(1) If your mother is an SC, she can keep the flat. This is provided she can continue financing the mortgage.

(2) Once you get married, your name has to be included in the flat, even as an occupier. Thus your name has to be remove from existing flat. No one suppose to have name under 2 flats.

Suggest to appeal to HDB to continue financing existing flat.
