Hi,

I am Singaporean currently single and looking to get married by Nov 2015. However, am unable to buy a house as my partner is not Singaporean or PR, she is on S Pass. Below are my questions.

1) Please correct me if I am wrong, but that means I can only buy resale hdb? Does my partner need to be married with me for this option?

2) Also do I get any incentive from choosing a resale unit near my parents house?

3) For the financing, understand maximum bank loan is 80%, is there an option for 5% cash downpayment and 15% cpf?

Morning,

You can purchase resale unit under non-citizen spouse scheme. You will be required to submit the ROM certificate to HDB within 3 months from key collection date. If your income is less than $5k, you will be eligible for $10k housing grant. With HDB grant, you can opt for HDB loan where down payment is only 10%, payable fully by CPF.
