Hi Dan,

PR can buy condo. Below is the payment procedure that you need to take note

5% Cash needed
15% can be CPF, if is not enough can use cash
Above is the total minimum downpayment needed = 20% (assuming you are eligible for 80% loan)

Stamp duty tax for PR total will be 8% of property price less SGD 5,400.

Hi Dan,

As a SPR, you will need to pay the normal stamp duty of about 3% when purchasing and also a 5% Additional Buyer Stamp Duty (ABSD). You will also need to engage a lawyer to help you with the conveyancing of the purchase which will set you back by about $2,500 to $3,000. When taking a bank loan, you may also be required to purchase mortgage insurance.
