Hi, I am intending to buy a EC with my wife but unfortunately she is deemed to own a private property as before our marriage, she had bought a property with her brother for their parents in Msia to stay. The property was purchased at RM270k. My question is - Is there a value below which the HDB will not view it as a private property? Thanks

Morning,

A private property is still private property even though it's bought with $0.
Both of you are eligible to resale EC, if both of you are SC or PR.
