Hi,
I am a single Singapore citizen with age > 21yrs.
I want to buy a HDB flat together with my mom who is still holding China passport. I hear that under current HDB non-citizenship scheme we are only eligible to buy a re-saled HDB flat from the open market. Here I have some questions:
1. If I am to apply the long-term visit pass (LTVP? for my mom, how long it normally takes for the approval?
2. After we get the LTVP, what are the important points I should take note when buying the re-sale flat under the non-citenship scheme?
3. When singing up the property buying contract, must my mom be present in Singapore in person, or I just need to show her LTVP will do?
4. As my mom has no CPF account, I will be the only one who is giong to pay for the mortage. Doese that mean her name will not appear in the property ownership paper? In that case, is her signature on the contract of buying the property still required?
Many thanks!
