Hi there, thanks for writing to us on AskGuru.

You can buy a resale HDB flat under the Single Singapore Citizen Scheme as long as you are above 35-years-old. There is no income ceiling when buying a resale HDB flat.

Hope this answers your question.

Best Regards,

Good afternoon AK,

You can opt to take up HDB or bank loan.

If you wish to take up HDB loan, there will be an income ceiling of $7k and you can only purchase up to a 5rm flat.

There's no restriction if you opt to take bank loan.

It will be best to work out your budget before we kickstart your purchase journey.

Have you apply for HLE or IPA yet?

Hope my sharing helps in aiding in your enquiry. May I know how can I value add further in your property needs?

Best regards,

YT Tan

For resale flat, there is no income ceiling or restrictions on flat type even for singles. However if you plan to take HDB loan or apply for first timer grant, your income could not exceed $7000 per month and you can only purchase a flat type of 5 room and below. I am specialised in HDB transactions and have served various single buyers like yourself. A vast majority of my client managed to secure a flat without COV despite the seller market situation nowadays. Do contact me at 93375051 for a free and non obligatory discussion on this.
