Hi Gurus.
I rented a condo some 1.5 years back. It was a new condo.
There are some marks on the walls. The paint is not good quality and I am not able to wash the marks off without chipping the paint. The agent is asking me to repaint the whole house because of some (not significant) marks on the walls.
The rent agreement clearly says that normal wear and tear in the house is perfectly fine.
I really don't think the house needs a repaint because of some small marks on the walls. Max, the agent should deduct is a few hundred dollars, which would be acceptable to me.
What recourse do I have? I really don't think painting the whole house is justifiable.
Please advise.
Thanks!
