I have a home that I co-own with my parents and my boyfriend too owns a hdb with his parents. Do we have to give up 1 hdb if we get married? Thanks in advance for your reply. In a dilemma right now.
You need not give up the hdb, but just need to remove your names so to be able to purchase together. However, the remaining owners must be able to service the loan on their own names, and also return the CPF utilized of the outgoing owner.

Both you and your husband do not need to give up your respective HDB flats that both of you co-own with your respective parents, if you do not have any intentions to purchase another HDB jointly.
However, if both of you decides to jointly purchase a HDB flat, both of you will need to take both your names out from your current existing flat. Take note that the remaining owners of the flats must reimburse whatever CPF that you and your boyfriend had used for the respective flats, and if the flats are still under loan, they must be able to undertake the remaining loan as well.
