Hi,

Unfortunately you cannot apply for BTO or EC as you currently own overseas property. You can get a private condo no issue but relevant stamp duties will apply. Thanks and hope to assist further.

I am afraid to inform you that as you currently own private property overseas, you have to dispose it first and observe 30 months waiting period after it before you can apply for BTO or EC.

And if you are willing to wait that long, you have to sell off your HDB within 6 months from TOP date or key collection date as your sibling is not eligible to own a HDB as a single SPR.

Alternatively, you might want to consider purchasing a private property instead. But you will be subject to 10% additional buyer's stamp duty as SPR for your second property purchase.

Probably we can discuss further if you want to avoid paying such a hefty ABSD.

Morning,

As your sibling is SPR, I'm afraid that the current unit have to be sold off within 6 months from key collection date of the BTO or EC, not forgetting the waiting period for the selection. You will also need to observe the 30 months debarment for BTO application after the sales of your private property. Alternatively, both of you can opt for resale HDB or EC unit.
