It appears this purchase will be for investment? If so, just curious why you are looking at the east side only? Yes your concern is valid and shared by many of my clients, in my opinion there are some projects which have more potential for capital appreciation than others, and you need not wait until TOP, we just need to look at the URA Master Plan to see the infrastructure plans for the next 3 - 5 years through your holding period.

I have brought many clients to purchase both new projects and also resale properties and I can say I am familiar with both. Personally I do not station myself in any of the showflats so I do not represent any specific development in particular.

Definitely there is a difference in buying resale vs new launches. What I can suggest is that we can actually meet up together with you and your parents and we can share our knowledge with all of you. I also have some figures to show all of you, whether is it better to buy new launches or resale condos. Have your parents been to any consumer seminar where they analysis datas with facts n figures for the capital appreciation and also EXIT plan which is crucial because if there isnt any EXIT planning done, you cannot dispose the property.

Some new launches do lose money. It is not just about location but more of EXIT strategy!
