Hi,

1) If you intend to join name with him to buy a condo. This is not permissible since he has not met the 5yrs MOP.
2) You may buy the condo before marriage and keep it after marriage. But once married, you will have to observe the 5yrs MOP before being allowed to buy a condo.

If you wish to purchase a condo, you will need to do it before you get married. Because once you get married, you will also need to observe the 5-year MOP, which will be in another 3 years time. This may affect your family planning.

If you purchase the condo before you get married, both of you will be able to hold onto both your properties.

Good afternoon B,

You will not be eligible to buy a private with your fiance because his flat is still within MOP therefore it will be best for you to purchase under your sole before your marriage if not you will need to be added into his flat and be subject to MOP as well.

Btw have your mother's flat fulfil MOP yet? If yes, it will be best we start looking for something suitable these few months before your ROM.
