Hello, after my dad pass in 2016 I recently took over his house as stated in his Will. since 2015 I have been staying with him, I took over his house in Aug 2019. I thought of selling it and getting another house. Am. I able to do so cause I haven't hit the MOP or can i write in to excuse. If so, if I sell the house would I be charge for anything. Can I buy resale with my husband whom I haven't apply for pr yet.

Hi there,
1) You may write and appeal to HDB, however, it is rare that HDB approve the removal of the MOP.
2) Yes you can buy with your husband under the non-citizen spouse scheme.

Dear Mdm,

You can write in to HDB to request for a waiver of the MOP so that you are able to sell in the resale market. I have assisted many of my clients to appeal successfully before and subsequently sold off their unit. Please feel free to contact me so that I can understand your situation and provide you with further assistance.

As a Singaporean, you will be able to purchase a resale flat with your hubby who is a foreigner under the non-citizen spouse scheme.
