Asked by
Hai,

Me & my wife are singapore PR. We are planning to buy our 1st house. But we are not sure on the costs applied to buy the property. Due to our tight cash and money in CPF. Please advise us if:

1) we plan to buy a 3room resale HDB which value is $300k. What is the related cost that i need to pay (eg: downpayment, stamp duty, legal fees, etc.)

2) is the down payment for getting a HDb same with condo.

Thank and appreciate if you can advise us on these matter.

Thank you

Rdgs,

Afternoon Toni,

Assuming that you have zero CPF and managed to get 80% loan, and the purchasing COV is $30k, your financial breakdown is as follows:

1)5% ABSD: $9900
2)20% downpayment: $60k
3)Stamp Duty: $7600
4)COV: $30k
5)Valuation & misc: $1000
6)Agent Fee: To be discussed

Hence, you will need around $110k. Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.
