Hi there, you may only rent out the whole unit upon fulfilling the 5 years MOP. You may consider renting out a room instead of the whole unit now as renting a room is still feasible within the 5-year MOP.

Alternatively, if you decide to still rent out the whole unit before the 5-year MOP, you may write into HDB to appeal.
