Hi,

As of current regulations its workable, but policies do change from time to time and by then it might be that hdb owners can't buy pte property and keep both or that ABSD may have been removed totally. Your guess is as good as mine. Perhaps I can have more details of your current plans and requirements so to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your plans.

I believe you have done some prior due diligence on the schemes available for HDB purchase as well as the stamp duties applicable to come up with such a plan. It is definitely feasible based on the current regulations, nevertheless, what you have not mentioned is whether your wife will have the necessary income to obtain the housing loan for your HDB to be purchased as a single owner. If this has been sorted out, I believe you are on the way to carrying out this plan.
