Once you receive a grant, it implied you have enjoy subsidized from the government, as good as bought a BTO/SBF.

(1) Thus you are considered as 2nd timer when you apply for the BTO in future.
(2) You have to pay sales levy which is $40k as of current policy.
(3) Your grant will remain in your CPF account. It forms part of your CPF payout to current flat. You may also use the amount to pay off BTO/SBF.

Hi Isaac,

If you take the CPF Housing Grant now, you will be considered a 1st timer. Hence, should you apply for a BTO later on, you will be liable to pay a resale levy of $40,000 for a 4RM flat.

If you are taking only Proximity Housing Grant, you need not pay any resale levy when you apply for your second subsidized housing.
