Value for Money
Posted by Mr. Sam Chan on Apr 1, 2012
Had moved into YewTee for 2 months and finally decided to add a review as I am also very surprised that there is little review about this great place.
Firstly, transportation link is excellent. MRT and taxi stand is just nearby.
Super convenient! Shopping for groceries is just a lift away from the supermaket in Yew Tee Point. It's really city living in an suburban environment.
Another positive point really is that it is one of the very few projects in this Northwestern area with a small number of units, which essentially provides a quiet place to relax and enjoy in the pool/gym with very few people sharing the facilities with you. It feels exclusive.
There are also several good primary and secondary schools around which makes this project an ideal place for young couple and potential investors alike.
Overall, this project is definitely value for money although it costs me quite a sum when i bought it then. To me and my family, It is a very liveable place and that's all that matters. I recommend this building for: City Living, Families with Children, Peace & Quiet, Students and Western Expats.

Good Place to Stay!
Posted by Mr. Kelvin Lee on Mar 10, 2012
Just bought a unit here and moving in soon. Surprised there is not a single review for this property so perhaps just to share some views for any future potential buyers.
I have seen several Condos mainly in the west, north and east area and eventually decided on Yew Tee Residences.
1) One of the few situated on top of a mall thus ensured of convenience
2) Only about 100m to Yew Tee MRT and depending on which unit you are buying, there is actually no noise pollution which is a common fear for most buyers
3) Apart from the mall, there is also a wet market within less than 100m for family who cooks
4) Property TOP in 2009 thus the exterior and interior still looks new. Some minor renovation is sufficient
5) Small project with only 139 units which is what I like. Feels more cosy and private compared to projects with > 400 units
6) Convenience of Banks around, Macdonalds, and several other food outlets
7) Although surrounded by HDB flats, the flats are new thus does not bring down the overall ambience of the place
8) Prices transacted at the moment is not more than $900 per sqft thus considering the current market, a good potential buy. The 3 room unit I bought is about $1 million
9) Size of the unit is reasonable though not very spacious but sufficient compared to some new projects. Also no odd shape
10)Near to CCK Lot one for more shopping if one desires
Having listed the above, following are some good to have but impossible:
1) Not near to city... takes probably 45 mins (considering current peak hours situation) to reach Raffles place MRT
2) There are plans to develop Jurong East area but I have not heard of any significant plans for CCK area
3) Units have planters but not balcony so limited space for plant lovers
Overall, believe it is a good buy and prices will probably stay stable or continue to rise... Hopefully it may hit $1000 or more per sqft within the next 5 years. I recommend this building for: City Living, Families with Children, Luxury & Prestige, Western Expats and Asian Expats.
