Do Justice to The Sea View Please!

Been staying here since TOP 2008. I must say seeing is believing what this beautiful condo is..
Justice to The Sea View that had been receiving many negative reviews. Residents staying here are truly enjoying the luxury and status in this generous landscaping ,well facilitated condo, resort style pool, excellent location in D15 amber road!
Transportation is a thumbs up with direct buses to CBD,town, changi airport and city hall (10mins). Nearest MRT i suggest will be city hall (cos direct bus take 10mins to reach city hall that is central station that connect island wide. many buses take u to stations like paya lebar,eunos, aljunield, dakota within minutes too.
Needless to mention abt the wonderful amenities all within stone throw... Parkway parade mall just opposite, (banks, cold storage, NTUC, giant hyper mart) .
Katong /siglap eating paradise are round the corner and new katong mall that will be ready soon(there will be cineplex)
Walking distance to east coast park where u find outdoor activities, eateries and 24hr fast food joints!
What else can i ask for more staying here.................... I recommend this building for: City Living, Outdoors & Activities, Luxury & Prestige and Western Expats.

Seaview condo residents sue for $14 million

Defects have allegedly plagued the estate since residents began moving in.
In late 2009, building surveyors found at least 32 cases of defects in areas such as lift lobbies, the swimming pool, residential units and the basement car park.
Floor traps and pipes in the kitchen were not installed properly, leading to food waste being stuck in the pipes, resulting in foul smells and flies in the units.
Residents are suing the developer... just stay away from this condo I recommend this building for:

The press report on the defects at this condo has done damage to the future pricing of this project.
Even if the MC wins the $14million law suit, how can we be sure if other hidden defects do not surface in the future.

today ST, 24 Sept 2011.
so many defects in The Sea View, leaking ceiling, defects in wooden planks in swimming pool, leaking pipes and etc.....
wonder will all this affect the value of this condo?
not forgetting that a 14 million lawsuits going on....if MC win, good for the residences, if lose....who is going to foot the bill? I recommend this building for:

FH with great potential

-large space
-luxurious facilities
-all surrounding areas are built up or being build-up. no more area in this area for future condo unless enbloc-> increase the price of future development->enhance existing projects.
-an existing jewel with even more potential in time to come I recommend this building for: Outdoors & Activities, Families with Children, Peace & Quiet, Luxury & Prestige and Western Expats.

This project will be among the oldest when surrounding projects TOP. Not worth the investment for long term.

Construction Ard Sea View

Sea View is plagued by construction sites all around it. Amberglades just bought by Far East, and we have The Shore also by Far East and also the Paramount Hotel also bought by Far East. Sea View is surrounded by construction sites for at least the next 3-4 years. It's getting really noisy.
I recommend this building for:
Luxury & Prestige.

Charming in both Day and Night

In Singapore, whether or not there is sea view in the condo does not matter as much as its location. Your can live in Pasir Ris looking at some sea water, or West Coast with the view of our busy port but these locations will never be as attractive as Marine Parade condos even if they do not have any view. Why so? Because it takes alot more effort to reproduce another such environment elsewhere. Try finding another place with (1) great condo amenities in a sprawling area, (2) walking distance to Parkway parade, Katong Shopping Centre, Katong Mall, (3) walking distance to a town centre, without being too close to HDBs, (4) walking distance to a real beach and not a fake shoreline created like some condos, (5) near a a good cinema like Golden Village, (6) walking distance to a market, (7) near to many banks, (8) 5 mins drive to downtown city centre. Besides, many units in Sea View also look at the city area and enjoy nice views.
I recommend this building for:
City Living,
Outdoors & Activities,
Families with Children,
Peace & Quiet,
Luxury & Prestige,
Students,
Western Expats and
Asian Expats.

Unbelievable location

Sea View has a very unique location in Marine Parade. Turn left from the front entrance and walk about 300m towards the swimming club, brings you to an underpass that leads you to the start of East Coast park, with Starbucks, and other eateries. Turn right from the front entrance brings you to the landmark Katong Shopping Centre which is considering redevelopment/revamp into something much better. Exit from tennis courts side and turn right brings you to the new Katong Mall located about 300m away, which has an 8-hall Golden Village cinema next year. Back gate, across the road is Parkway Parade and the Marine Parade central! Very distinct separation of the bungalows, from the condo areas, and HDB sector, compared with other developments where condos and HDBs are located together, making them feel less prime. The lift lobbies are all luxuriously done, unlike some properties where only the prime unit gets a posh lobby. The only downside is it does not have an MRT station.
I recommend this building for:

Peace & Quiet,
Students,
Western Expats and
Asian Expats.

Great Place to Live In the East

This place has the best function rooms I've seen - ball room like ! Nice Gym, good access to outdoor activities at East Coast Park, good eating places nearby, and conveniently across Parkway Parade Mall.
