Good place

Main road around the corner, yet hidden in the green.
MRT coming up Oct-Nov 2011, direct to Vivocity. Yet prices haven't come up much yet, investment downside is almost nil considering transaction history for past half a year. Numerous buses on Pasir Panjang (surprisingly) to the city.
Good layout of the 2BRs, big swimming pool and gym, resort feel. Good for own stay. Science park super close, NUS 2 bus stops away, easy to rent.
Overall will make a good investment and very nice for own stay as well.
Downside is there is no shopping mall around yet, but they are just a short (10min) bus ride away or MRT away. Heard a mall is building up within 5 min walk nearby within next 2 years. I recommend this building for: Peace & Quiet and Luxury & Prestige.

Reasons why The Maylea is a hidden gem:
1) Great Location - Serene and Quiet with no HDB flats nearby
2) Walking distance to Haw Par Villa MRT station. Prices at The Maylea will rise when the future MRT(circle line) is operational by end 2011
3) Near to NUS, NUH, INSEAD University, Maple Tree Business City and Vivo city and Sentosa
4) Shops and restaurant just next door
5) The next Holland Village
This is a low rise apartment (only 5 stories) so it has a resort feeling. However not every units are the same. Look for units which are bright and has good ventilation. This will save on electricity. I recommend this building for: Peace & Quiet.
