Competitively-priced
Posted by Al Tan on Sep 25, 2010
In terms of rate (p.s.f.) if one compares the pricing with those project in Orchard it is still less than half. Well Orchard area is surrounded by shopping and dinning. Well one cannot be shopping everyday! In contrast the proximity of "The Clift" to the Marina Bay area such as the esplanade, The Marina Bay Sands and quick access to the airport outweighs Orchard. Moreover, evening time after office hours in the financial business district is a lot quieter and peaceful for dwelling.
I recommend this building for:
City Living,
Outdoors & Activities,
Peace & Quiet and
Luxury & Prestige.

Upside Potential
Posted by Jesse Homel on Jun 21, 2010
The Clift, compared to The Icon, is definitely a better buy. It looks more sophisticated and blends in more with the surrounding buildings. That's what downtown CBD residences are supposed to be like. Icon looks more like a typical condo. Both sides of The Clift have clear view, whereas The Icon is going to be blocked by a hotel in front, and Altez and a new development by All Green behind. The Clift is very near to Club Street, which is a favorite haunt of expats.
I recommend this building for:
City Living,
Luxury & Prestige,
Western Expats and
Asian Expats.

The Clift

I worked in Tanjong Pagar.
I think it is premature to make a statement on the interior and finishing of the project until it is completed and residents actually move in for a few months to see and iron out the defects (if any).
Location wise, I think sea view was never an option. I am sceptical also about the city view, but I guess it depends on the floor and direction individual unit is facing.
I like the transport links nearby, I do not like the fact that it is opposite a hawker centre. It is a bit too near for comfort for me. I concede that in the evening, Amoy hawker centre is quite quiet so it minimize disturbances. Roads are a bit narrow in the area and can be quite congested in the day. Not sure about the covered walkway as I think there is still a major road crossing between the walkway and MRT station.
I will definitely rate it higher than Icon due to its relative distance away from HDB housing and proximity to shophouses housing various professional/creative businesses. I recommend this building for: City Living, Western Expats and Asian Expats.

The Clift project

As a owner of this project studio apartment.
Especially now you can see the actual beauty of the building almost fully constructed.
I am proud to say that even though there is no direct sea view.
I am glad to have the best unblock CDB city view, complete with shelter walk to MRT and Hawker centre.
....... Melvyn Loh I recommend this building for: City Living, Peace & Quiet, Luxury & Prestige and Asian Expats.
