nothing special
Posted by VO on Dec 9, 2010
location is a bit off, nothing much around there. but then, for some that's a plus. it is quieter than most of the developments around there, if you get marina bay facing there will only be limited noise. the units facing the hdb and pool can get a bit noise from the road. units facing the river will get construction noise from sports hub. very nice long pool, but that's about it. there's no greenery around the condo - not a good place for kids.
I seriously fail to understand how the value could go up when the government land in front of the building is released - blocking the bay view. I recommend this building for:

No better place than this
Posted by MO on Oct 12, 2010
Architecturally, one of the most stunning and avant-garde buildings in the east. None of the pastel wedding cake condo designs that are all too common. Most of the apartments have expansive balconies facing Marina Bay , the verdant parkland and the meandering river . I dare say there isn't a better setting than this anywhere else in Singapore. There aren't many units facing the BMW workshop and HDB blocks. Even then it has that grundgy industrial hipness reminiscent of the meatpacking district in New York City where many stars have homes.
So what if (and that's an unlikely scenario anytime soon) the government eventually sells off that parcel of wooded land in front for a swanky condo development : the prices of Riveredge will escalate and the owners will all laugh their way to the bank.
It is a win-win situation for them. And I haven't even gone to the upside the Sports Hub will bring. Don't know about you guys, I m seriously considering putting my dough here! I recommend this building for:

Luxurious HDB block
Posted by WB WB on Oct 10, 2010
Quite funny to see this block parallel to the other common HDB blocks behind making this look like a glamourised version of the familiar HDB 3-4room blocks. Perhaps future HDB blocks can study this type of design that integrates the common area into the building in a mid-floor section, which is rather popular with current condo designs. The units facing Marina at high floors offer incredible views of the Marina Sands, but the ones facing the other way will be looking at HDB blocks. Location is good and quiet but it is a matter of time before the plot of land in front of this condo becomes filled with condos. When that happens, this condo may lose its current appeal.

Rare Tranquility
Posted by F on Apr 18, 2010
Away from the hustle and noisy city and yet a good distance for a spectacular city view of the CBD and IR, not forgetting a sea view too. Lush green park provides fresh air and a great way for outdoor activities. Quiet and peaceful location and yet not lack of common vicinity. If you are hungry and lazy to cook, just pop by the nearest food centre for a great selection of local delicacies. Otherwise, take a walk along the park to the nearby Kallang Mall for more choices and do some grocery shopping on the way back.
Traveling to other parts of Singapore is not a problem. For those who fancy taking other transports instead of hiring a cab, a bus stop is just 3 mins walk away. That will get you to Orchard or Downtown or to the seaside at East Coast Park in 15 mins. Better yet, the Mountbatten MRT is just 8 mins walk away so you can hop on and access to the rest of Singapore more conveniently.
Enjoy the luxurious space with simple layouts. It provides interior design and decoration flexibility. Other notable features are a great pool, the corner Gym Room and the Sky Terrace. These offer wonderful relaxation alternatives, especially after a tired day at work.
Recommended for Singles and Couples. I recommend this building for: Outdoors & Activities, Peace & Quiet, Western Expats and Asian Expats.

the location is inconvenient and quite disappointed with the facilities and though the building design is ok,the layout is not as good as it seemed to be.plus 99 years and too far from amenties.
I recommend this building for:
Peace & Quiet.

too pricey
Posted by living nearby on Nov 4, 2009
Most owners here calling high prices and maintenance fee are also high comparing to a few other projects nearby. Facilities are quite limited and location a bit in and secluded. i think seller should consider the fact that unit are bigger and therefore price should be lower down. Have checked a few other freehold properties nearby and some even selling at lower psf. As this is a 99yr lease. Overall i think is more suitable for those who have car as transportation are not so convenient. But for those who like peace and quiet, this may be a good choice.
I recommend this building for:
Peace & Quiet,
Western Expats and
Asian Expats.

Buyer be aware
Posted by Buyer on Oct 8, 2009
Visited this development a couple of weeks back. Has a nice modern feel. Facing of the building is weird as it faces East West at a 30 degree angle. mostly tenented and not a owner occupied type of development.
The sky deck at 18th floor provides a very nice view. Units are mostly large. So watch the PSF carefully.
Had an unpleasant experience during my negotiation phase with the owner(s). At the end of the day, I think he just wanted more $$. quite typical really but since i dont do this on a daily basis, it left an unpleasant feeling. I recommend this building for: City Living, Peace & Quiet, Luxury & Prestige and Western Expats.
